The feature scrambles WireGuard packet headers to prevent detection, activates automatically after failed connections, and offers minimal performance overhead compared to alternatives like Shadowsocks. As Mullvad's fourth obfuscation technique, LWO enhances reliability in restrictive environments, with iOS support coming in a future update.
